Where the Trust Decision Engine fits
The Trust Decision Engine is not simply another step after Trust Outcome. It is a capability within Trust Infrastructure — it evaluates Trust Assertions, evidence, policy, context, authority, consent, validity and governance, and contributes to producing a Trust Outcome.
Described conceptually, the architecture runs:
Trust Authorities → Trust Assertions → Trust Infrastructure → Trust Outcomes → Trust Consumers → Decisions
with Trust Exchange operating across organisational boundaries throughout. The six-step flow shown above is the high-level conceptual view; the Trust Decision Engine is one of the capabilities operating inside the Trust Infrastructure stage of it, not a seventh step after Trust Outcome.
